Tyrell Malacia to PSV latest, loan terms outlined as Man Utd man undergoes medical

Manchester United’s January transfer window could have one more deal left in it, with Tyrell Malacia set to leave.

Deadline day promised so much for Manchester United.

After United lost 2-0 to Crystal Palace on Sunday it seemed all but certain that a forward would be signed.

Mathys Tel looked like an invertible deal for Ineos to complete, with the 19-year-old keen to move to Old Trafford on loan from Bayern Munich.

However, on deadline day itself, this turned out to be an impossible deal.

United were unwilling to pay the £6.5m loan fee Bayern demanded. Due to this Spurs have signed Tel instead, with no alternative expected.

Therefore, United are now very unlikely to make an addition, but there will be another departure.

Tyrell Malacia set for PSV loan

Manchester United have used the loan market a lot this transfer window, with a number of academy players heading on loan.

Marcus Rashford has also been loaned to Aston Villa, while Antony has already impressed on loan at Real Betis.

Now, Tyrell Malacia could join them.

Malacia is said to be undergoing his medical in his native Holland, ahead of joining PSV, according to Joost Blaauwhof.

Now, according to Tyrone Marshall from the Manchester Evening News, Malacia’s loan will not be a straight loan.

It is claimed that the terms are yet to be confirmed, but that an option to buy of some kind will be included in the deal.

This is a move that will delight United and Malacia after his loan to Benfica fell through. Additionally, United signing Patrick Dorgu meant he needed to exit.

Manchester United could finally hand Harry Amass a chance

Malacia leaving means Dorgu finds himself as the only natural senior option to play left wing-back.

However, with United opting to keep Harry Amass this window, perhaps he is viewed as read to contribute as a second-choice player in the position.

Diogo Dalot remains, but we have to think that once Ruben Amorim sees the impact of having a natural fit in the role – he will not turn back.

Amass will be able to learn from Dorgu and he has been developing physically in recent months.

If Amass is not going to be even given a chance in the first team – it does make keeping him at the club and denying a loan quite a bizarre move.
