Manchester United have completed the signing of Ayden Heaven as Jason Wilcox and Omar Berrada work to solve one Old Trafford problem.

Manchester United snapped up Patrick Dorgu on Sunday, making him the second signing of the January transfer window.

United already pounced to sign Ayden Heaven over the weekend, luring the teenage defender away from Arsenal.

Heaven grew up as an Arsenal fan so he has now traded in a potential future at the Emirates Stadium in order to join United.

Heaven follows Chido Obi in joining from Arsenal and the hope is that they can have a very bright future together at United.

United have now added Patrick Dorgu to Ruben Amorim’s squad with the 20-year-old representing yet another investment for the long term.

Manchester United working to solve recruitment problem

Dorgu, Heaven and Obi are far from the only youngsters to arrive at Old Trafford since Ineos took charge.

Samuel Lusale and James Overy signed over the summer, as did goalkeeper Hubert Graczyk – another former Arsenal prospect.

United also signed Sekou Kone with fellow Malian talent Daba Diakite now on the Old Trafford radar.

Add in United’s recent deal for Diego Leon and there has clearly been a real commitment towards signing young talents.

Heaven adds to that approach and Sky Sports claim that Jason Wilcox is attempting to change United’s mindset in the market.

It’s stated that one source inside Old Trafford suggested that United been hesitant or ‘just not brave enough’ to pull the trigger on deals for top young talents.

United passed on Moises Caicedo, for instance, and he become a star with Brighton and Hove Albion before a huge move to Chelsea.

Wilcox – alongside Omer Berrada and Christopher Vivell – is working to make sure that United are active and prolific in this market.

So far, so good on that front with United potentially building a fine team for the future at Old Trafford.

More young signings could yet arrive at Manchester United

United may not be done recruiting youngsters just yet.

Charlotte FC talent Nimfasha Berchimas recently arrived on trial at United and could yet be signed permanently.

United want Geovany Quenda too with the Sporting wonderkid potentially set for a summer move to United.

Quenda won’t come cheap but the commitment to signing young players is clear.

Getting Heaven over the line will be a real source of joy for Wilcox and his push for young signings.

Wilcox’s input is moulding the way United work and having endured some transfer misses over the years, his approach may be just what the club needed.
