Manchester United’s incoming business for the January transfer window may be over but one more departure now appears close.

The transfer window will slam shut in just a few hours and Manchester United appear to be quiet on the incoming front.

Mathys Tel is heading to Tottenham Hotspur despite Old Trafford interest whilst United have failed to sign Christopher Nkunku.

Incoming business may now be finished after United completed two signings over the weekend.

Defender Ayden Heaven joined United from Arsenal, adding another left-footed centre back to Ruben Amorim’s ranks.

United then snapped up Patrick Dorgu with the Lecce wing back finalising his move just before the home clash with Crystal Palace.

Manchester United ace set to leave on deadline day

We would love to see more incomings for United but that now looks unlikely with the deadline so close.

Outgoings may instead be the focus even after Marcus Rashford completed his move to Aston Villa.

Left back Tyrell Malacia is available having failed to convince Amorim and he is now close to leaving.

Voetbal International’s Joost Blaauwhof reports that Malacia is now on his way to Eindhoven to sign for PSV.

The deal will see Malacia return to the Netherlands having joined United from Feyenoord in 2022.

Malacia’s move to Benfica collapsed over the weekend but PSV have now pounced to strike a deal.

It’s unclear whether this is a loan or permanent move but a medical is now imminent for Malacia.

Translation: Tyrell Malacia saw a transfer to Benfica fall through at the last minute and PSV is profiting from that. The Manchester United left back is very much on his way to Eindhoven, insiders confirm. Medical examination will normally follow soon.

Tyrell Malacia needs fresh start away from United

Malacia was impressive in his first season at United and looked to have the potential to become United’s left back for the future.

Malacia was hailed as ‘tenacious’ by Rio Ferdinand and looked to be supplanting Luke Shaw in the United XI.

Injuries have completely wrecked Malacia’s development though as he spent more than a year on the sidelines.

Malacia returned this season but Amorim seemingly hasn’t been impressed, not only allowing Malacia to leave but bringing in Dorgu too.

The hope is that Malacia can move on and get back to his best in the Netherlands, especially with PSV chasing another Eredivisie title.

PSV sit top of the Eredivisie table and will be looking for Malacia to help secure another title.

Antony has already made a strong start at Real Betis and Malacia will be looking to do the same with his move to PSV.
