It’s the end of another busy week in the January transfer window including for Manchester United who continue to be linked with completing multiple mid-season deals.

With just two weeks left in the winter window, Ruben Amorim is linked with several players.

For United’s owners, the crucial step is to sell players before they recruit new ones — this should make for an intriguing fortnight.

Chelsea join Alejandro Garnacho hunt

Already a top target for Napoli, Alejandro Garnacho has emerged as an option for Premier League sides Spurs and Chelsea.

The London duo are both keen on the Argentine. Spurs are willing to pay as much as £60 million for Garnacho with Chelsea also enquiring recently.

Marcus Rashford desperate to leave

In a desperate attempt to end his Manchester United nightmare, Marcus Rashford is willing to take a pay cut to join Barcelona.

The English winger is believed to want a quick resolution though. Failure to agree a move aboard could see West Ham make a late offer to sign Rashford.

Antony edging closer to Spain move

Antony is another forward looking like spending the second half of the season away from Old Trafford.

The Brazilian has lost his place to Amad Diallo and is now expected to move on in search of regular football.

Real Betis want to loan Antony but are unwilling to pay most of his wages.

Tyrell Malacia wants Turin switch

Another Manchester United first-team player desperate to feature more is Tyrell Malacia.

As a result of falling behind Diogo Dalot in Amorim’s pecking order, Malacia could join Juventus on loan.

New signings far less certain than outgoings

Although welcoming new signings is every fan’s favourite part of the transfer window, United supporters know the tricky position the club’s owners are in.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is working to reduce United’s wage bill to ensure the club comply with the Premier League’s strict rules on Profit and Sustainability (PSR), so before any new faces can arrive, some old ones must leave.

Nevertheless, with lots of movement expected before the end of the window, here are some of the players linked with joining.

Thomas Frank sends Bryan Mbeumo warning

Brentford have no intention of letting Bryan Mbeumo leave this month — at least not for anything less than an ‘unimaginable fee’, according to their manager, Thomas Frank.

The Bees boss has confirmed he expects Mbeumo to stay in London beyond the January window — essentially ending United’s chances of signing the forward.

Arsenal step up Viktor Gyokeres pursuit amid Man United interest

Gabriel Jesus’ season-ending ACL injury is set to force Arsenal into the market in search of a new striker.

Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres has been a target for United for some time, and is now one for the Gunners too.

The two clubs could spark a late transfer tug-of-war, especially if the Red Devils can offload one of their own forwards in time.

The Brazilian midfielder has started just three Serie A games this season and could be headed back to the Premier League.

Although the midfielder isn’t desperate to leave Turin, Luiz wouldn’t mind joining United, or rivals City.

Francesco Pio Esposito

Spezia forward Francesco Pio Esposito is the latest striker to be linked with United.

The Serie B sensation is rumoured to be a target for Amorim.

An agreement will be hard to reach though because the 19-year-old’s parent club is Inter Milan and the Nerazzurri want him to continue at the San Siro.
