Manchester United have been quiet so far and fans may not be expecting too much January transfer business.
Ruben Amorim needed time on the training ground with his Manchester United squad and we are starting to see signs of progress.
United grabbed a 2-2 draw at Liverpool when many expected a hammering before knocking Arsenal out of the FA Cup.
We have seen real resolve and character from the last two United performances and fans are hopeful of more improvements across 2025.
Amorim will certainly need some more signings to make that happen though and January has been a quiet month so far.
United are set to sign Diego Leon but the Paraguayan will only arrive at Old Trafford after turning 18 later this year.

Brazil international keen on Manchester United move
United’s £100million net spend over the summer means Amorim is limited in terms of what he can do this month.
Loan deals may be the priority for United and we have seen a couple of deals suggested in recent days.
United are looking at Randal Kolo Muani whilst Amorim may chase a loan for Goncalo Inacio before signing the Sporting defender permanently.
That kind of creativity may be needed in the market and another potential addition has been linked.
Tuttomercatoweb report that Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz would be interested in signing for United this month.
It’s stated that Luiz – just months after joining Juve from Aston Villa – isn’t all that interested in leaving Turin.
However, a move to United or Manchester City appeals to Luiz with Fulham and Nottingham Forest snubbed.
Juventus remain interested in Joshua Zirkzee and some form of loan swap with options to buy in the summer could be the way to strike these deals.
Manchester United wanted Douglas Luiz in 2022
Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo are forming a strong midfield partnership right now but United need more midfield additions.
Casemiro is being eyed in Saudi Arabia and Christian Eriksen will surely leave United at the end of the season.
Luiz will appeal to United as a versatile midfielder who can sit front of the back four or operate from box-to-box.
There would be little adjustment period for Luiz either as he has already proven himself as a quality Premier League midfielder with Villa.
United even wanted Luiz in 2022 having been impressed with his displays with Villa, with Roy Keane even offering him huge praise.
“He turns up every week this player,” said Keane. “Never seems to be injured. Quality player. I like him.
“He is consistent. Turns up week in and week out. You know what you are going to get from him. I like a lot about him. Probably lacks that real pace maybe. In terms of his decision-making and looking after the ball, very, very good,” he added when speaking to Sky Sports Premier League (14/01/24, 1:45 pm).
The Brazil star certainly fits the bill for United and may be familiar to Jason Wilcox from his time on the City books.
We think Luiz is a name to keep an eye on, even if a move this January may be a little tricky.
