Jadon Sancho broke his silence on England’s Euro 2020 exit yesterday. He apologised for his penalty miss and said that the positivity he had received outweighed the abuse.
The incoming Manchester United winger was deluged with positive comments, led by none other than Marcus Rashford.
Rashford sent a message saying ‘Love you bro’, while former Dortmund teammate Erling Haaland also responded.

Jesse Lingard also responded to Sancho’s message with three heart emojis, and there were numerous other responses too from the football world.
Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies responded, as did his Dortmund pals Jude Bellingham and Axel Witsel. Newly signed PSG defender Achraf Hakimi also told him to ‘keep going’.
Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson and Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson were among those to also reach out.
Together
Rashford and Sancho have been close pals for years and have been pictured bonding throughout England’s Euro 2020 camp.
Rashford even confirmed Sancho’s move to Manchester United before the club did.
This unfortunate penalty shootout experience with England will only bring them closer together.
They are both looking to put this behind them as quickly as possible and move onto new success, and thankfully for Manchester United, they can do so together on the pitch, and help each other through it off it.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will look after the pair and make sure each of them get the support they need, while other teammates and United supporters will also rally around them.
