A key member of Erik ten Hag’s backroom coaching staff has sent a message to Jadon Sancho after the Manchester United winger completed his loan move to Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho left Old Trafford this week to complete a stunning return to Germany, with the United outcast spending the remainder of the season at the Bundesliga club.
Dortmund were heavily linked with the 23-year-old winger in recent months after Sancho was excluded from the United first team over his rift with Erik ten Hag.
The German side have agreed to pay United £3m for the loan and will pay a further £3.4m if certain add-ons are achieved during Sancho’s second spell at the club.
The add-ons relate to the number of appearances that Sancho makes and the Champions League progress and qualification that Dortmund make.
Dortmund have also covered a large majority of Sancho’s wages during his loan spell, with United fans welcoming the player’s temporary exit from Old Trafford.
Sancho, who had his Dortmund medical on Wednesday, has linked up with his new teammates and will spend time at the club’s mid-season training camp in Marbella.

Benni McCarthy reacts to Sancho’s exit
Sancho appeared thrilled with his return back to Germany and the United loanee was spotted asking about one Dortmund player upon his return to the Bundesliga club.
The former England international also made a special request to the German club for his second spell and Dortmund delivered on their promise to Sancho after he signed.
Sancho’s loan spell at Dortmund after a turbulent saga at United this season was welcomed by several players, including one that Sir Alex Ferguson wanted at United.
United first-team coach Benni McCarthy was one of the members of the backroom staff at Old Trafford to express his honest thoughts on Sancho’s departure.
United fans spotted McCarthy, who played a key part in Marcus Rashford’s scintillating form last season, leave a crown emoji and a heart emoji on Sancho’s Instagram post.

Ten Hag sends his best wishes to Sancho
Sancho hasn’t played for United since last August and spent months on the sideline without regular football after he was excluded from the Red Devils’ first team.
The former Three Lions star dropped a bombshell statement on social media last September in response to Ten Hag openly criticising his training performances at United.
Sancho reportedly refused to apologise to Ten Hag and was forced to train away from the first team, with his long-term future at Old Trafford plunged into doubt.
Speaking ahead of United’s clash with Tottenham on Sunday, Ten Hag showed his true class by sending his best wishes to Sancho for his spell at Dortmund.
“I hope he’s doing well, so I wish him the best of good luck. That’s it,” he said on Friday.
“I hope he’s doing well and he’ll be a success at Borussia Dortmund.”
