Jadon Sancho immediately asked about one Borussia Dortmund star in new footage, he means a lot to him

Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho immediately asked about one current Borussia Dortmund teammate after his sensational return to the German club this week.

Sancho’s turbulent season at United came to an end on Thursday after the Bundesliga outfit reached an agreement to sign him on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old United outcast hasn’t played regular first-team minutes since last August and was frozen out at Old Trafford over his spat with manager Erik ten Hag.

Dortmund have paid United a £3m fee for the loan and the club will have to pay a further £3.4m if certain add-ons are met during Sancho’s second spell in Germany.

The club are covering a large portion of Sancho’s United wages, although Dortmund don’t have the option to make his move permanent at the end of the season.

Sancho asks about one Dortmund player

Sancho appears happy with his return to Dortmund and an end to the saga – for now at least – involving Ten Hag at the Premier League club this season.

Ten Hag had publicly revealed why Sancho was left out of his side’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal last September and criticised the United winger’s performances in training.

Sancho staunchly defended himself and dropped a bombshell statement on social media, with the former England star reportedly refusing to apologise to Ten Hag.

Dortmund’s new signing has linked up with his new teammates and will spend time at the club’s mid-season training camp in Marbella after his move from United.

The German club posted footage of Sancho’s return on their TikTok page and the ex-Three Lions international was shown into the Dortmund locker room.

As Sancho made his way into the dressing room, he wasted no time in asking where Marco Reus was stationed before he was shown where his No 10 shirt would hang.

“Where’s Marco?” Sancho asked, before adding: “Marco’s there.”

Sancho welcomes Dortmund return

Dortmund are currently fifth in the Bundesliga table and are six points adrift of fourth-place RB Leipzig in the race for Champions League qualification.

One of the add-ons in the deal for Sancho is Dortmund’s Champions League progress and qualification, which the United loanee is keen to aid upon his return to the club.

“When I walked into the changing room today, it felt a bit like coming home,” Sancho told the club’s official website.

“I know the club inside and out, was always very close to the fans here, and contact with the bosses never stopped.

“I can’t wait to see my teammates again, be out on the pitch and play football with a smile, assist goals, score goals, and help the team qualify for the Champions League.”
