Cristiano Ronaldo has told Manchester United’s club website that he has made the best possible decision by returning to Old Trafford.
Ronaldo’s return to United was clinched on transfer deadline day after being agreed last Friday.

The 36-year-old returns to the club he left in 2009 after spells with Real Madrid and Juventus.
Ronaldo says he is delighted to be returning to Old Trafford, “I think it’s the best decision that I have made. It’s right on point in my opinion.
“I moved from Juve now to Manchester, it’s a new chapter, I’m so happy and glad, and I want to carry on again, to make history, to try to help Manchester achieve great results, to win trophies and number one of them, to win great things.”
The Portugal international has achieved everything he can in club football and now wants to give back to United.
Ronaldo seems genuinely happy to be back and he would not be joining United if he did not believe this side capable of winning trophies.
Seeing former Real teammate Raphael Varane leave Real Madrid and sign with United will have told him a lot about the direction of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
This is a team capable of competing for the Champions League and Ronaldo will be bidding to win the trophy for a sixth time.
Ronaldo added that Sir Alex Ferguson was absolutely key in his decision to return.
He added: “For me, Sir Alex Ferguson is like a father in football for me. He helped me a lot, he taught me many things, and in my opinion of course he had a big role because the relationship that we had, we keep in touch all the time, and he’s an unbelievable person.
“I really like him a lot and he was the main key for me to be in the position that I am, that I signed for Manchester United.”
