Andre Onana is still convinced that he can push his way ahead of Senne Lammens in Manchester United’s pecking order.
Last summer, Ineos decided a change of goalkeeper was needed and Senne Lammens was signed on deadline day for £18 million.
Andre Onana was sent on loan to Trabzonspor, and Lammens won signing of the season in the Premier League.
Now, Onana’s loan deal is coming to an end, and he is determined to get his United career back on track.

The difference between Andre Onana and Senne Lammens’ start at Man Utd is HUGE
Why did we keep Andre Onana so long?!
Andre Onana wants to challenge Senne Lammens
It has been made clear that Onana wants to return to United and fight for a starting spot, but he is out of his depth.
Lammens has outperformed Onana since arriving at Old Trafford, and United fans voted him as the best signing of the summer.
According to MundoDeportivo, Onana is determined to return to United’s pre-season training this summer, and his objective is to convince Michael Carrick he deserves to be ahead of Lammens in the pecking order.
However, United want to sell Onana. The 30-year-old is complicating the goalkeeper situation in Carrick’s squad, and he is hurting Radek Vitek’s career.

Andre Onana is complicating Radek Vitek’s return
Like Onana, Radek Vitek was on loan in the 2025/26 season, spending the campaign with Bristol City.
Vitek won Bristol City’s Player of the Year award following a brilliant season in the Championship.
The 22-year-old is also set to return to Carrington this summer, and United want to keep Vitek as a second option to Lammens next season.
But if Onana refuses to leave, all he is doing is harming Vitek’s chances of making it at Old Trafford.

Vitek may prefer to go and play regularly elsewhere if Onana is also competing for minutes in Carrick’s squad.
United have discussed selling Vitek this summer, and it seems Onana’s future could be a key factor.
