Manchester United are in need of striking help for Benjamin Sesko, and a 6’3″ striker who got double figures last season has caught their eye.
It was a great debut season for Benjamin Sesko, all things considered, as he crossed double figures in goals despite a slow start.
However, with Joshua Zirkzee’s future uncertain and the striking depth lean beyond it, United need more as they play in four competitions next season.
That has led them into the market for a new striker to aid Sesko, and one name has emerged as a result.

How much do you think Man Utd will spend in this window?
It can be revealed that £243m will already be leaving Old Trafford this summer…
Man Utd weighing up move for Francisco Pio Esposito
Whenever there has been talk of United buying another striker ahead of the season, the word experienced has been attached to it.
However, Ineos‘ philosophy generally hasn’t been to buy players with little resale value at the end of their careers.
They are yet to sign a player above the age of 30, and they were unlikely to change their stance even when deciding on Sesko’s aid.
TeamTalk reports that this search has led them to Inter’s 20-year-old striker Pio Esposito, who has been on the verge of a breakout.
Esposito stands at 6’3″, so he will add to the skill set United have with Sesko, and after scoring 10 goals last season, he is starting to come into his own.
Neither Sesko nor Esposito should have the burden of carrying United’s scoring at their age, but together, they can form a deadly duo.
The report states that United scouts were in attendance for Italy’s games against Luxembourg and Greece, with Esposito starting and scoring in both games.
This will have only served to increase his stock further, as United are joining a list of suitors that is already very long.
Man Utd will be patient with striker signing
Esposito is an exciting name, but Man Utd fans must not get carried away because the club’s transfer priorities lie elsewhere for now.
WHO would be your ideal ‘experienced striker’ for Man United to sign this summer?
Who would benefit Sesko the most…
United will likely buy a striker this summer, but it figures to be lower on their list of priorities.
They have already got one midfielder through the door in Ederson, and another is an absolute necessity before they even think of allocating budget for a striker.
Esposito’s age will also mean that Inter’s stance will dictate a lot of negotiations, because United won’t splash the cash on another “project” striker after their outlay on Sesko last summer.
For now, keep this move firmly in the “let’s see how it develops” category.
