Bryan Mbeumo made an eye-opening admission over what he wants to see at Manchester United and it is essential for one of Ruben Amorim’s players to adopt.
The 25-year-old French-born winger officially left the Gtech Community Stadium and Manchester United signed Bryan Mbeumo from Premier League side Brentford.
United made the announcement for Mbeumo’s arrival at Old Trafford on Monday, with Brentford agreeing to the Red Devils’ third bid for the former Bees ace.
The Red Devils were pulled into a drawn-out transfer saga with Brentford over United winger Mbeumo after the summer window had opened in June.
Mbeumo had entered into the final 12 months of his Brentford contract and the Bees played hardball over the negotiations with United for the Cameroon international.
United finally landed Mbeumo from Brentford after the Red Devils paid a fee worth more than what the club had spent on Matheus Cunha’s transfer from Wolves.

Bryan Mbeumo speaks out about a vital Man Utd aspect in his mind after sealing his stunning transfer move from Brentford
Manchester United landed Bryan Mbeumo after paying an initial £65m fee, with the Red Devils including £6m in add-ons in their transfer deal with Brentford.
The combined — and hefty — £71m transfer value for Mbeumo surpassed the £62.5m fee that United had paid for ex-Wolves ace Matheus Cunha in June.
Mbeumo has secured his United shirt number and the former Brentford attacker inked a five-year deal with the Red Devils after his summer transfer.
The United summer signing is expected to link up with his Red Devils teammate for pre-season and feature on the United States leg of the tour under Ruben Amorim.
Manchester United’s official website released their first sit-down interview with the Cameroon and Red Devils forward on Tuesday after Monday’s announcement.
Mbeumo admitted that he was thrilled to link up with the squad before their visit to the States and how “really important” it was to build connections with players.
“It’s really important for me,” he told United’s official media channels.
“It’s important to create links as soon as possible, automatism as well as the teammates, in and out of the pitch.
“The spirit is really important, to create a group, so being involved as soon as possible for me is really important.”
Bryan Mbeumo’s ‘spirit’ remarks and creating ‘links’ is vital for Man Utd striker Rasmus Hojlund to build upon in pre-season
Mbeumo enjoyed a superb spell at Brentford under Thomas Frank and once shared a stunning partnership with Ivan Toney in attack at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The Cameroon player is widely tipped to play as the right-sided No 10 in Ruben Amorim’s tactical system for United in the 2025-26 campaign at Old Trafford.
Mbeumo will no doubt be eager to build an attacking relationship with striker Rasmus Hojlund, who is currently leading the frontline at United under Amorim.
Rasmus Hojlund has struggled in his two seasons at United and the 22-year-old Danish forward has been — at times at least — starved of service in the attack.
With Mbeumo on the right side of the No 10 role and Cunha on the left side, Hojlund could finally have the main support network needed to thrive at Old Trafford.
But Hojlund’s ability to lead the attack could be dependent on whether he can establish a similar ‘telepathic relationship’ with Mbeumo that Ivan Toney once enjoyed.
