The transfer saga that dominated the discourse and looked impossible to finish at one point has finally ended with Bryan Mbeumo signing for Man Utd.
Bryan Mbeumo only wanted Man Utd, and the club’s third bid did the trick, following which the official announcement came in quick time.
Mbeumo will now be able to travel for the USA tour, a crucial boost for Ruben Amorim as he starts the journey to get United back to the top.
Mbeumo was a model professional throughout the saga, and he’s punctuated with a final message for the club after his departure became official.
Bryan Mbeumo message to Brentford
Despite Brentford reportedly negotiating in bad faith at times, Mbeumo should be credited for never causing any disruption and burning any bridges with the club.
He ensured that his classy personality remained constant even when all his ties to Brentford were cut, as evidenced by his heartfelt message.
Posting a two-minute video on Instagram detailing his journey with the club, Mbeumo wrote, “6 years that felt like 6 minutes. It’s time to take off and to leave the Bees Planet. But before I go, I want to thank all of you.
“The board, the coach Thomas Frank with who I had a special [connection] from the beginning, the whole staff, all my teammates, all the people who work in the shadows, in the office, at the training centre and at the Gtech and of course, I want to thank you, fans, for your amazing support no matter what and for every game.
“You all made me feel at home from the first day, and I will never ever forget that. It was an incredible journey full of emotion, smiles, and laughter, and you made every moment very special. You’ll always have my heart. We’ll meet again in this dimension and in the others. Cheers. Bryan.”
Bruno Fernandes’ message to Mbeumo
The excitement is palpable among Man Utd fans for the signing of Bryan Mbeumo, and the buzz is transferring to the dressing room as well.
Be it Leny Yoro announcing Mbeumo’s transfer before it was official, or Amad praising him to the heavens before his signing, the Man Utd squad couldn’t wait for him to arrive.
Now that he has, Mbeumo has received the welcome message from the captain, Bruno Fernandes, who posted on his Instagram stories.
Putting up the picture of United’s announcement of Mbeumo’s signing, Fernandes simply wrote, “Welcome home,” tagging Mbeumo in the post.
It tallies with Mbeumo calling United his dream, and how he refused anyone else’s advances the moment United came to the table.
The hope will be that he becomes as big a fan favourite as Fernandes has.
