Matheus Cunha has completed a move from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers to Manchester United, making the Brazilian Ruben Amorim’s first signing this summer.
Matheus Cunha has arrived. It was confirmed on Sunday that the forward would be joining the Red Devils for a total of £62.5m.
The 26-year-old will bring some much-needed dynamism to the Manchester United attack and hopefully will be the first of many to sign for United this summer.

The Brazilian wasted no time in commenting on his arrival on social media.
Matheus Cunha sends first message as a Manchester United player
Manchester United confirmed the arrival of Cunha on Instagram at midday on Sunday. They wrote: ‘Our first summer signing has been agreed. We look forward to welcoming you, Matheus.’
Cunha commented almost immediately, simply putting a love heart emoji.

Tottenham forward Richarlison was also found in the comments, alongside many adoring fans who are massively excited about the arrival of the forward.
Cunha will bring something completely different for United, and it’s much needed. The lack of goal threat was very apparent throughout the 24/25 season, and he’ll, hopefully, bring goals in abundance.
Welcome, Matheus.
Wolves also confirm Cunha departure
Wolves also confirmed the deal has gone through on their socials. They wrote: ‘Matheus Cunha has completed a permanent move to Manchester United.’
Cunha will be a massive loss for Wolves, but they’ll be grateful for the fee he brings in. They’ll surely look to reinvest this window to avoid the drop next season.
To replace a player of Cunha’s calibre is no easy feat, however.
