Manchester United have confirmed Bryan Mbeumo as the club’s third major signing of the summer window.
A six-week transfer saga is finally over with Manchester United officially announcing the signing of Bryan Mbeumo on Monday evening.
United have paid £65m up front to sign Mbeumo from Brentford, with Ineos agreeing to spread the cost of the transfer fee over several years to lighten the impact it has on this summer’s budget.
The 25-year-old star has signed a contract until 2030, with an option to extend until 2031. Ever since the interest emerged, Mbeumo only wanted to join United, and now his dream move is complete.

“My mentality is to always be better than I was yesterday. I know that I have the spirit and character to reach another level here learning from Ruben Amorim and playing alongside world-class players.
“Everybody told me about the environment that is being created here and how exciting the plans are for the future. This is a massive club, with an incredible stadium and amazing fans, we are all really determined to challenge for the biggest trophies.”
Mbeumo was a boyhood United fan and admitted to having Cristiano Ronaldo’s name on the back of his very first shirt growing up.
Now his childhood dream has become reality.
