Raphael Varane is enjoying settling in at Manchester United, taking part in another training session on Wednesday afternoon.
This time United’s photographers captured a shot of Raphael Varane with France international teammate Paul Pogba.
Clearly in a happy mood after his incredible four-assist weekend performance, Pogba sent a message out displaying his pleasure at getting the chance to team up with Varane at club level.
The pair know each other well, having been France international teammates for the best part of the last decade, winning the World Cup in 2018.
Varane sent the same message with a caption of his own.
Varane spoke about Pogba in his first interview with the United website after sealing his move.
The centre-back said: “I think Paul is very positive and he has a very good energy; he motivates players in the dressing room and on the pitch with his energy.
“We are different but we are very complementary, and it’s important in the team to have different types of leaders and characters.
“I’m very happy. I’ve known him for a very long time, we started together with the French national team and he’s a great player.
“I think he’s ambitious and me too, so we are ready to work hard and to do all we can to win trophies.”

The big unknown of course, is whether Pogba will extend his Manchester United contract which expires next summer.
Signing his France international teammate Raphael Varane along with Jadon Sancho is a big sign of United’s ambition.
The team have begun the season well, partly thanks to Pogba, and if the momentum keeps up, it could continue to create a happy environment where the midfielder decides he is happy to stay and sign a new deal.
