Manchester United continued their pre-season with a 5-0 win against Rosenborg. We rate each player who played at least a minute.
The players withstood a fast start from a fitter Rosenborg side, eventually imposing themselves and earning a first-half lead through Shea Lacey.
Goals flowed in the second half, with Joshua Zirkzee turning from provider to scorer, following which Jacob Devaney scored off a corner to put Man Utd in a 3-0 lead.
Harry Amass ran up the scoreline soon after with a fourth goal, and Ethan Williams added to Rosenborg’s misery to complete a 5-0 rout.

Radek Vitek – 7
Not much to do as United bossed possession. Radiated calmness and composure.
Leny Yoro – 7.5
One header off the crossbar while attacking. Defended well as a RB and even overlapped.
Harry Maguire – 7
Shepherded the defence nicely as two youngsters were either side of him.
Ayden Heaven – 7
Grew into the game with confidence after being put under pressure early on.
Luke Shaw – 6
Should have offered more in the final third, especially when United piled on the pressure.
Mason Mount – 9
Brilliant defensive midfield performance as he combined tackling, intercepting, and shielding with sharp, progressive passing. He’s becoming a genuine option for that CDM role.
Andrey Santos – 7.5
Much improved on his debut. Made decisions quicker, and his zipped passes to break lines are already adding a new dimension to the side.
Bryan Mbeumo – 7
Fluffed a good chance as he shot straight at the goalkeeper but generally much sharper than the previous game.
Shea Lacey – 8
Brilliantly taken goal. Vintage Shea Lacey for anyone who’s seen him in the academy.
Patrick Dorgu – 6
Bit rusty with his touches but the effort never lacked.

Found plenty of space and time on the ball after the brutal force of Wrexham. Helped himself to a smart assist for Lacey before a magical goal in the second half.

Combative and classy as usual. His stock is rising after two pre-season games.

Lost his man a couple of times but recovered well. Circulated the ball well in possession.

Played as the most advanced midfielder and played some nice forward passes. Has shown growth in his game.

Advanced role here after struggling against Wrexham, and he looked more comfortable. Lacked end-product.
Ethan Williams – 7
Joined in the goalscoring fun as he punctuated United’s performance by scoring his first and the team’s fifth.

Worked relentlessly and made things happen even if his own goal was missing.
