Manchester United dropped their verdict on Harry Amass after the Red Devils’ latest pre-season tour match against Rosenborg at the Lerkendal Stadion.
The Red Devils visited Trondheim to face Norwegian outfit Rosenborg and Michael Carrick’s men took a 1-0 lead into the half-time break on Friday evening.
Manchester United manager Michael Carrick started Shea Lacey in the first half and the 19-year-old winger made the difference after he broke the deadlock.
Shea Lacey earned high praise from Man Utd fans, but Red Devils supporters also turned their attention to Harry Amass after the second half of the match in Norway.

Harry Amass came off the bench in the second half of Manchester United’s opening pre-season match and he did the same against Rosenborg on Friday evening.
United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, feel that Amass is sending a clear-cut message to Michael Carrick about his role for next season.
One Man Utd supporter wrote: “This was an audition for Harry Amass and f— me he’s delivered.”
Someone else commented: “We need to keep Harry Amass [for real].”
“Somebody should tell Luke Shaw that it’s Harry Amass’ time [now],” a third Red Devils fan said.
Another posted: “Harry Amass is desperate to own the left-back role. The guy should be kept this season to be nurtured.”
While a fifth X user shared: “If Luke Shaw [were] still playing, he wouldn’t have been in Harry Amass’ position to score.”
“I’ve no words for Harry Amass. You just know he’ll make it: he just needs time,” somebody else added.
And a seventh tweeted: “Harry Amass. Today belongs to the academy.”
“Brilliant awareness from Harry Amass, arriving from the left at exactly the right moment [to score],” an eighth claimed.

United faced Wrexham in their opening match of the pre-season summer tour and lost 1-0 to the Championship side at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium in Finland.
However, Man Utd bounced back from their defeat to Wrexham by defeating Rosenborg 5-0 after the impact of Shea Lacey, Joshua Zirkzee, Jacob Devaney, Amass and Ethan Williams.
The Red Devils have four pre-season matches remaining (posted below) ahead of the start of the 2026-27 Premier League campaign under United manager Carrick.
