Ineos managed to shift a handful of unwanted players on loan in January.
The problem of Marcus Rashford was solved. With Aston Villa taking Rashford on loan until June – having the option to buy him for £40m next summer.
Antony also left the club, joining Real Betis for the remainder of this season.
These are two players who were on Ineos’ expendable list of players – which only had a couple of exclusions. In the summer this pair, United hope, will be permanently departed.
Another player fitting into this group is Tyrell Malacia, with the left-back now on loan at PSV. The Dutch side has an option to purchase Malacia for £8m in the summer.
Marcus Rashford sends message to Tyrell Malacia after PSV loan
Tuesday night saw PSV take to Instagram where Malacia was announced.
Upon the announcement, there were quotes from Malacia in which he spoke full of excitement over the move which will hand him regular first-team football.
After Bruno Fernandes‘ message last night, which read, “my guy”, now Marcus Rashford has responded to the news.
Rashford and Malacia are close friends and the Villa loan star commented under the announcement, writing: “Twinnyyyyy”, with two heart emojis.
This could be in relation to them not being on loan – or just that they call each other ‘twin’ as a nickname.
Former United Academy ace Anthony Elanga also commented, writing, “my boyyyyyyy” and added two heart eye emojis afterwards.
Rio Ferdinand has outlined his disappointment over Elana’s departure and he is clearly still keeping tabs on United’s business.

United was ruthless in the winter transfer window, with three big names being sent out on loan – kick-starting the mass exodus 2025 promises to have.

This trio may only be on loan but they will likely all be gone permanently afterwards if all goes to plan.
In the summer, United will have big ambitions in the transfer window and in order to comply with this several more first-teamers must be parted with.
