Cristiano Ronaldo is home at Old Trafford. A video of the superstar stepping out at Old Trafford as a Manchester United player has been released by the club.

We showed late last night how images of Ronaldo at Old Trafford had surfaced on social media as the club filmed an on-pitch interview for MUTV ahead of his return.

Now the club have released official footage of Ronaldo stepping out of the tunnel in a Manchester United shirt for the first time since 2009.

The short video shows Ronaldo walking out of the Old Trafford tunnel as the camera pans around, displaying the back of his shirt.

He then turns to the camera, points, and simply says, ‘I’m home’.

It’s quite incredible really. Ronaldo’s return had been talked about and speculated on for so long that nobody believed it would ever happen.

Ronaldo reached stratospheric heights of success while United toiled after Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

Now the club are rebuilding under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ronaldo could be the final piece of the puzzle needed.

His return against Newcastle this coming weekend is going to be pretty special.
