Manchester United and Ineos could revisit their Youri Tielemans ‘playbook’ in how they approach their next key midfield transfer this summer.
Youri Tielemans became the second major signing for Manchester United this summer after the Red Devils landed the Belgian midfielder for a £35m fee from Aston Villa.
The 29-year-old Belgium international had been identified as a key target after the Red Devils’ efforts to bring Atalanta midfielder Ederson to Old Trafford fell through.
The Red Devils had already signed Andrey Santos from Chelsea in a £50m deal ahead of announcing their transfer of former Aston Villa midfielder Tielemans.

Man Utd and Ineos could try to sign Brazil midfielder Danilo in a similar way to Youri Tielemans
The news that Manchester United were in advanced stages to sign Youri Tielemans caught many people by surprise by the efficiency and quietness with which it was done.
The eye-catching detail for United fans was the fact that Tielemans had a release clause at £35m, especially after the Ederson deal was worth £38m alone.
Diario AS reporter Eduardo Burgos took to the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and reported that Man Utd are keeping close tabs on Danilo.
Danilo is at Botafogo and the Brazilian club have already turned down an offer from Palmeiras for a fee of around “$30m plus bonuses,” according to Eduardo Burgos.
The standout part of the Danilo report is that the 25-year-old Brazilian midfielder has a release clause of only €20m for clubs outside of Brazil.

Danilo could become the ‘Youri Tielemans 2.0’ moment for Man Utd in their summer transfer window
The Red Devils require an extensive rebuild this summer after Casemiro’s exit from Old Trafford and Manuel Ugarte’s injury at the World Cup with Uruguay.
Ineos are required to be savvy with the Red Devils’ spending spree amid Man Utd’s financial problems, which Sir Jim Ratcliffe is trying to rectify.
Michael Carrick needs depth in his midfield picks in the first-team squad and both Tielemans and Andrey Santos have provided him with a foundation now.
Danilo, who previously played for Nottingham Forest, would be another effective option for Man Utd due to the low release clause in his current Botafogo deal.
United have been linked with Danilo before and should not pass up the chance now to sign him ahead of Newcastle, who have identified him as a Bruno Guimaraes alternative.
