Manchester United’s month is getting better and better. Paul Pogba is reported to be leaning towards signing a new deal.

The Athletic report Pogba’s strength of feeling has been ‘significant’ towards renewing, since Cristiano Ronaldo’s return.

Pogba could sign his deal before the end of the year, which would be crucial for United, as he would be able to negotiate with foreign clubs from January.

Ronaldo has a three year contract at United and could stay longer, and it is going to be difficult for Pogba to just walk away.

Surrounded by superstars

United have surrounded Pogba with superstars, with Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane signing this summer.

Add in his strong bond with Bruno Fernandes and an emerging one with Cristiano Ronaldo, and this is the strongest Manchester United team Pogba has been a part of.

Pogba is thriving too, with seven assists in four matches to start the season.

Keeping him around is key to United’s future success beyond this campaign. It is not easy to replace a player of his quality.

Supporters on a high

This is a great time to be a Manchester United supporter. Ronaldo is back and looking as good as ever, and the team sit top of the Premier League after four games.

There is still a long way to go, but if ever there was a time to try and tie up Pogba’s deal, it is now, when he is playing well and the club and fanbase are buzzing.

Pogba will look around Europe and realise there are barely any options better than this. Signing a new deal could be the best decision he makes.

The report has been welcomely received by United fans, who are now very hopeful an agreement with the France international will be reached…
