United gunning for Ronaldo

This comes after Pep Guardiola played down talk of a move for Ronaldo in his press conference.

All the while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made clear Manchester United would welcome Ronaldo with open arms.

Wayne Rooney had said last night he doubted Ronaldo would join City.

The Athletic and the BBC report Manchester United are holding talks with Juventus over the signing of Ronaldo.

The 36-year-old scored 101 goals in 133 games for Juventus over the past three seasons and is desperate to move on for a new challenge.

It looks like he is about to get his chance at Old Trafford, he might just be coming home.
