Jadon Sancho sends one-word message to Marcus Rashford, it’s a petty dig at Manchester United

A new era began for Marcus Rashford when he made his Aston Villa debut in their FA Cup victory against Tottenham.

Marcus Rashford ran out of road at Manchester United, unable to win over new boss Ruben Amorim, his sixth manager, following Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ralf Rangick and Erik ten Hag (not counting caretaker bosses Michael Carrick and Ruud van Nistelrooy).

Rashford made clear he felt the time was right for a fresh start, and he was probably right. But he likely did not have Aston Villa in mind.

Presented as a Villa player last week, Rashford begun as a substitute, helping Villa to close out a 2-0 win over Spurs.

Rashford sends message, Sancho responds

Marcus Rashford is now one of 16 players out on loan from Manchester United at present, which includes Antony in Spain, and Tyrell Malacia in the Netherlands, Radek Vitek in Austria, and various around English leagues.

Rashford sent a message out after his debut for Aston Villa. He received a supportive message from Ravel Morrison.

And then there was this. A cheap shot from Jadon Sancho towards Manchester United, a club he is technically still registered to.

Sancho wrote in response to Rashford, “Freedom”, along with two emojis, clearly celebrating that his pal is away from Old Trafford.

Jadon Sancho failed at Manchester United and he is on course to flop at Chelsea

Jadon Sancho’s message is a petty dig towards United, and one that does him no favours at all.

Sancho failed at Manchester United, under three different managers, with neither Solskjaer, Rangnick or Ten Hag able to get anything out of him.

United could not find a buyer for Sancho last summer despite a loan rehabiliation at Dortmund, who did not want to pay up for him.

Instead United loaned him to Chelsea, inserting an obligation to buy as part of the agreement.

It looks like a stroke of genius, a £25 million that can fund an incoming move for United, while Chelsea fans are growing frustrated with him.

Fans ripped into Sancho after his performance for Chelsea in their FA Cup loss to Brighton, and he could become a reluctant purchase for the club.
