Cristiano Ronaldo’s former Real Madrid teammate Gareth Bale has backed the superstar to be a big success at Manchester United.
Bale and Ronaldo combined for four Champions League titles at Real Madrid.
Now after a stint at Juventus, Ronaldo has returned to Manchester United
Bale spent last season in the Premier League on a loan spell with Tottenham. He is sure Ronaldo will be a hit back in English football.

The winger was quoted by O Jogo, speaking before Wales’ international match with Estonia tomorrow night.
Bale said: “I’m sure he’ll do well. He’s shown what he’s worth in the Premier League before, it’s a league he knows well.
“He’s done everything there was to do in football. There’s no equal in terms of goalscoring ability, I know that he’ll join the team and score a lot of goals.
“I’m excited to see that, as is everyone.”
Ronaldo in the spotlight
Ronaldo is back in the spotlight, and that’s just the way he likes it. Lionel Messi had taken the headlines after his move to PSG.
Now it is Ronaldo’s switch to Manchester United which has captured the imagination.
Bale knows Ronaldo well and he knows the Premier League, and his words should reassure anybody who is having doubts over whether the star can still cut it in England.
There shouldn’t be any doubts. Ronaldo finished as the Serie A top scorer and Euro 2020 top scorer last season and he is still absolutely lethal.
He is coming into a United team stacked with talent, from the likes of Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho, Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford all around him, and there is more depth beyond that too.
Ronaldo wants to help United win trophies and he has been surrounded with a squad to do it. We can’t wait to see it all unfold.
