Paris Saint-Germain’s Warren Zaire-Emery has been linked with Manchester United – and he already has a firm favourite in Michael Carrick’s squad.
Manchester United have already signed Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans to strengthen their midfield this summer, but a third addition is expected before the 2026/27 campaign kicks off in late August.
Although Paris Saint-Germain are not planning to sell Zaire-Emery, it is understood that he is a ‘dream’ target for United.
Zaire-Emery would be a brilliant addition, but convincing PSG to sell the talented 20-year-old won’t be easy, even if he has spoken about his admiration for one of United’s stars.

Warren Zaire-Emery linked up with Leny Yoro with France U21s
Zaire-Emery made 54 appearances for the European champions last season and followed that up with 109 minutes at the 2026 World Cup for France.
It is unclear whether or not Zaire-Emery would consider a move to United at this stage of his career, having made so many appearances in midfield as well as right-back under Luis Enrique.
Although Zaire-Emery has been linked to United since 2023, the reports only resurfaced this week, but it bodes well that he already knows Leny Yoro, who signed for United as a youngster from Lille two years ago.
Zaire-Emery and Yoro have played together 10 times for France U21s, winning eight of those matches.
Speaking to L’Equipe in October 2025, Zaire-Emery said he takes inspiration from other young players at big clubs, such as Yoro.
“My goal is to set an example, as I always have. There are also great players like Mathys Tel, Wilson Odobert, and Leny Yoro who are at big clubs.”
Yoro will be hoping to make a big impact on the pitch for United this season to earn a place in the France national team squad for the 2028 European Championships.
