Casemiro have signed for Inter Miami on a free transfer, joining a list of former Manchester United players to represent the MLS outfit.
Inter Miami has completed the signing of Casemiro on a free transfer with a contract running until the conclusion of the 2027 MLS Sprint Season, with an extension option until June 2029.
According to The Independent, the MLS has launched an investigation into the deal over potential tampering violations because LA Galaxy had the league’s priority to negotiate with the former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder.
Casemiro’s move to Inter Miami has been completed regardless. He becomes the latest former United player to move to the popular MLS outfit.

Launched as the MLS’ 25th club in January 2018 before making their league debut against Los Angeles in March 2020, the club has come a long way and now boasts a squad of players consisting of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

Phil Neville: As a fellow member of the Class of ’92, Phil Neville needed no introduction to Beckham. He served as Inter Miami’s head coach between January 2021 and June 2023.
Harvey Neville: After playing in United’s academy, Harvey Neville joined Inter Miami II and eventually made 14 senior appearances before leaving in 2024.
Sergio Reguilon: Although Sergio Reguilon only spent half a season on loan at Old Trafford, he belongs on this list because he has been at Inter Miami since signing as a free agent in December 2025.
Casemiro: The latest player to join Inter Miami to have played for United is Casemiro. He left Old Trafford after helping guide Michael Carrick’s side to a third-place finish in the Premier League as securing Champions League qualification.

Casemiro ‘grateful’ for Inter Miami opportunity
Inter Miami announced on Wednesday that they have signed Casemiro, with his addition pending receipt of his P-1 Visa.
Speaking to Inter Miami club media, Casemiro explained what motivated him to sign for the MLS franchise.
“What motivates me the most, and I think this is true for every player, is winning and continuing to grow,” Casemiro said.
“The project the Club presented to me, along with the effort everyone made to bring me here, means a lot to me.
“I’m incredibly grateful, and I can’t wait to get started so I can repay that trust—not only during the 90 minutes on matchday, but every day in training as well. All I can say is thank you, and I’ll give everything I have to return the affection and confidence the Club has shown me.”
