Diego Maradona Jr has privately messaged a Manchester United star to encourage him to leave Old Trafford this month.
Manchester United could be in for a busy few days as the January transfer window draws to a close.
In terms of incomings, United are preparing a third Patrick Dorgu bid after their opening two offers were rejected by Lecce.
But most of United’s focus in the coming days will be on selling players. Marcus Rashford’s future is still yet to be resolved after his bombshell interview last month and there are still question marks over Alejandro Garnacho.
Speculation continues to surround Garnacho’s future after Ineos made it public that he was not considered unsellable. Since then, Chelsea have enquired about Garnacho and a £60m move is still very much on the cards.

Diego Maradona’s son wants Alejandro Garnacho to join Napoli
Before Chelsea entered the picture, Napoli showed a strong interest in Garnacho with manager Antonio Conte a big admirer of the Argentine winger.
The Italian club already raided United for Scott McTominay in the summer, and the Scottish midfielder has turned out to be a popular signing in Naples.
Napoli bid £40m for Garnacho earlier this month but United rejected the offer as it fell well below their valuation of £60m.
After talks were held between Napoli and the player’s agent, reports suggested Garnacho is open to joining Napoli, but the Serie A giants are yet to return with a new bid.
Now, Diego Maradona’s son has spoken about Garnacho moving to Italy and revealed that he has even sent the United star a private message.
As quoted by AreaNapoli, Maradona Jr said: “Alejandro Garnacho? I would be happy to see him in Naples because we are talking about an excellent footballer.
“Have I spoken to him? I sent him a message on Instagram: ‘Hurry up, pack your bags because we are waiting for you’.
“He hasn’t replied yet, in truth he hasn’t seen my message yet. If there is something to do to bring Garnacho to Naples, I will do it.”
Ruben Amorim’s stance on Alejandro Garnacho leaving Man United
It has now been well over a month since Ruben Amorim dropped Garnacho from his Manchester derby squad.
However – unlike Rashford – Garnacho has worked his way back into Amorim’s plans and he has appeared in all seven Premier League matches since missing the derby.
Amorim wants Garnacho to stay and has never doubted his talent as a player. If Garnacho is sold, it is because United need to raise money for PSR purposes.
After starring against Rangers, Amorim praised Garnacho but demanded more from the 20-year-old because of his huge potential.
An exit cannot be ruled out for Garnacho in the next few days, but it would certainly go against Amorim’s wishes if it went ahead.
