What Alejandro Garnacho has now realised at Man Utd, it could lead to £60m exit

Alejandro Garnacho is closer than ever to leaving Manchester United, and now his concerns at the club have been revealed.

Despite 15 goal contributions this season, the Argentine winger has not endeared himself to Ruben Amorim.

Alejandro Garnacho was the crown jewel for Erik ten Hag, but for Amorim, there is no clear position in the starting line-up with the lack of natural wingers in a 3-4-2-1 formation.

Due to this, Manchester United were left in a tricky situation. United therefore became open to selling Garnacho and this then led to Napoli declaring their interest.

Over the past few weeks, Napoli have had bids rejected for Garnacho. Meanwhile, personal terms with Garnacho are expected to see a drastic pay rise.

Despite this, United are now expected to be willing to accept £60m, a figure which Napoli could reach. Now, Garnacho’s stance at Old Trafford has been shared.

Alejandro Garnacho worried about his position at Manchester United

Earlier this month we learned that both Garnacho and United were frustrated. Well, now these frustrations have come to a head.

Graeme Bailey has told United in Focus that Garnacho has realised his long-term United future could be over.

“It’s coming to a head, there are issues there and there’s been a realisation that he’s not going to be part of Amorim’s system long term.

“He knows there are options for him elsewhere this month. It’s a real possibility that he does go. If United’s stance on the fee is softening it could accelerate very quickly.”

Additionally, Graeme explained that selling Garnacho is “not simply to comply with PSR as we saw with Newcastle last summer trying to sell anyone”, but rather it is also coming from Garnacho’s side.

“What I would say with Garnacho is it’s been instigated from his side to an extent. Because his side will be saying that the player is realising he’s not in the long-term plans.”

This has been reinforced by talkSPORT who reported on Tuesday that Garnacho has doubts over his role in Amorim’s system.

Garnacho likely to leave Old Trafford

Before this month, we would never have assumed Garnacho would be leaving United this early in his career.

However, with Amorim clearly not fancying him as a starter right now, it could be a price simply too good to refuse.

Now, Argentine journalist Gaston Edul has reported that Garnacho is now ‘very likely’ to depart United. The final ok to the move has not been given yet, but Napoli are the side pushing most for the move.

Additionally, it was reported that Garnacho actually favours a move to remain in the Premier League, with Chelsea yet to make an offer.
