Manchester United make Alejandro Garnacho decision after receiving significant transfer offer

Manchester United have been quiet in this January transfer window but one player is now attracting major attention.

Ruben Amorim knew that Manchester United would struggle to bring in January signings.

United’s £100million summer net spend has limited what the new United boss can do in his first transfer window.

Players may need to be sold but the likes of Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Victor Lidnelof may not bring in big money.

United may need to let some bigger names go and Marcus Rashford is on Barcelona’s radar despite their financial woes.

Alejandro Garnacho would certainly bring in big money, but United appear to be sticking to a hefty price tag.

Manchester United make Alejandro Garnacho decision

Garnacho is one of United’s top talents but he has yet to really explode under Amorim.

Often left on the bench in recent weeks, Garnacho could be on the move if United land a huge fee.

The Mirror now claim that United have received a £40million bid from Napoli for Garnacho – but have rejected the offer.

United want £60million for Garnacho and are refusing to budge on that valuation this month.

Napoli are desperate to sign another left winger this month as star man Khvicha Kvaratskhelia nears a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Garnacho has emerged as a top target to replace Kvaratskhelia but United will force Antonio Conte’s men to cough up huge money.

The report claims that Garnacho is not only keen to leave United but is also interested in joining Napoli.

Unless that huge valuation is met though, Garnacho seemingly won’t be making the move to Italy.

Former United players chasing title at Napoli

If Garnacho does make the move to Napoli, he would be reuniting with former teammate Scott McTominay.

United sold McTominay to Napoli on transfer deadline day with his exit aiding United’s Profit and Sustainability numbers.

McTominay recently earned support from Harry Maguire with the midfielder continuing to have a big impact in this Napoli side.

There is another former United man in the Napoli squad with striker Romelu Lukaku leading the line under Conte.

Lukaku has racked up seven goals and six assists in 18 Serie A games this season and is looking to fire Napoli to the title.

Garnacho, Lukaku and McTominay could now join forces in a title push – but United will want a pretty penny in the process.
