Cristiano Ronaldo’s move back to Manchester United has generated huge interest.
One of football’s true greats, Pele, was among the many big names to welcome Ronaldo’s return by responding to the player’s Instagram announcement.
Ronaldo has since responded to the Brazil great, with a message which shows how pleased he is to make his comeback to United.
Ronaldo wrote: “It’s always great to come back to a home where we’ve already been happy… Thank you very much for your support, Pele.”

Who else congratulated Ronaldo on his United return?
Pele was not the only famous name to respond to Ronaldo’s message, although he was the most well-know.
Former Real Madrid and Spain star Raul also congratulated Ronaldo, as well as current Real star Lucas Vasquez.
Current Manchester United stars Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes also responded, along with Raphael Varane, who wrote, ‘Let’s go legend’.
Juventus forwards Douglas Costa and Andres Cuadrado both congratulated Ronaldo too, along with ex-United ace Patrice Evra and David Beckham.
Ronaldo’s return to United is going to be absolutely unmissable and with him expressing how happy he is to be back, he is clearly determined to make it work.
The forward won’t need much time to adjust, and when he hears the fans singing his name he may wonder why he ever left.
