Bryan Mbeumo will add so much more than just goals to Manchester United’s attack.
Last season, Ruben Amorim often cut a frustrated figure on the sidelines as he watched Manchester United waste countless opportunities in front of goal.
The priority this summer was to improve in attack and a £65m deal for Bryan Mbeumo is now agreed.
Matheus Cunha enjoyed a bright debut against Leeds United in the first pre-season friendly of the summer, and now Bryan Mbeumo is set to join him in what will be a new-look attack for the Red Devils.
Mbeumo was one of the best players in the Premier League last season with 20 goals to his name. Ruben Amorim will hope for a similar output in 2025/26.

How fast is Man United signing Bryan Mbeumo?
Alongside being a prolific goalscorer, Mbeumo has an incredible attitude which will help elevate the standards in United’s dressing room.
The 25-year-old forward also has electric pace, and paired with his impressive dribbling he will add a new dynamic to United’s attack.
According to Sky Sports, Mbeumo clocked the fourth-fastest top speed in the Premier League last season, hitting 36.63km/h.
Only two top-flight players attempted more sprints, and Mbeumo covered the third most distance of any player in the Premier League. Ultimately, he works extremely hard.
Ruben Amorim wanted more physicality in his United squad and Mbeumo will add bundles of energy and pace to the front line.
How Bryan Mbeumo compares to Man United’s fastest players
Amorim has formed a ‘bomb squad’ at Carrington of players who are set to leave this summer, and it includes some of United’s fastest players.
Marcus Rashford is set to join Barcelona, while Alejandro Garnacho has also been told to find a new club this summer. The two academy graduates were among the fastest players on United’s books.
Garnacho was United’s quickest player ahead of Rashford, while there was plenty of excitement around Rasmus Hojlund’s pace when he first signed for the club.

However, their top speed doesn’t even come close to that of Mbeumo. Garnacho clocked his top speed at 35.48 km/h, while Rashford followed just behind with a speed of 35.35 km/h.
Amorim is looking for pace and intensity to complement the creativity and spark of Cunha and Bruno Fernandes, and Mbeumo creates a brilliant balance in United’s new front line.
