Marcus Rashford is set to be unveiled as a new Barcelona signing on Monday after signing on loan from Manchester United.
It will be a strange farewell for Manchester United fans, who are still left not knowing if Marcus Rashford will return next summer or not.
United agreed a Rashford loan deal with Barcelona and attached a buy option to the deal believed to be around £40 million.
Graeme Bailey explains that Barcelona plan to sign Rashford permanently, but there is still an outside chance that he could return to Manchester next summer.
But for now, Rashford’s aim is to win over Barcelona fans and try to get his career back on track. It seems he has already made a strong impression in Spain.

Barcelona fans welcome Marcus Rashford
As reported by The Athletic, Rashford has been given permission to travel to Barcelona and complete his loan move.
The United academy graduate has been spotted at Barcelona airport ahead of his move being made official, and fans of the Catalan giants are already excited by the move.
As per The Mirror, Barcelona fans have already created a mural of Rashford to welcome him to the city. Below a painting of the forward performing his trademark celebration, it reads: “Benvingut Rashford!” which translates to “Welcome Rashford” in Catalan.
United fans grew frustrated at Rashford during his final years at the club, although he was always considered a favourite due to being a homegrown talent.
Now in Spain, Rashford needs to rediscover his form and reignite his career and winning over the Barcelona fanbase will be crucial.
Rashford has been pushing for a Barcelona move all summer, which stands him in good stead with supporters who recognise his desire to play for the Spanish giants.
Man United fans will want Marcus Rashford to do well
It has not been the end to Rashford’s United career that fans would have hoped for.
Once deemed to be a future superstar, Rashford is set to leave with a mixed reception having been frozen out of the club by Ruben Amorim.
Rashford’s attitude was a concern at Carrington, and his effort in training was not enough to convince Amorim that he wanted to play for the Red Devils.
But everyone at United will hope that Rashford does well at Barcelona, not only for the sake of his own career, but also so that the permanent £40m buy option is triggered next summer so that United can finally move on.
However, he has his work cut out for him at the Nou Camp, with competition from Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski up front.
