Manchester United have made the move supporters have been pleading for a decade for. Cristiano Ronaldo is rejoining the club.
United confirmed an agreement to sign Ronaldo in lightning quick time after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke out at his press conference to express interest in a move.
Whisper it, the transfer window is not yet done either. Ronaldo may not be the only signing joining United before Tuesday night.
There are two more signings United could make, and yes there will be outgoings likely too, but let’s focus for now on who could be coming in…

Kieran Trippier looks possible
Before the Ronaldo news whirlwind broke, there were developments on the Kieran Trippier to United move for the first time in a month.
Sky Sports reported interest from Dortmund in Diogo Dalot, who would not be required if Trippier signed, while Mundo Deportivo reported Atletico Madrid were advancing to sign Lille right-back Zeki Celik.
Trippier news followed, with The Athletic reporting United have re-ignited interest in the England international.
Providing United have the money, and it may need to be offset by outgoings, expect this deal to get done.
Trippier is an excellent crosser of the ball and Ronaldo with his heading ability could really benefit from the Atletico defender joining the club.
Midfield signing?
This one is admittedly more of a question mark, but expect United to look to do ‘something’.
An ideal situation would see United splash the cash on Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves, a Portugal international teammate of Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes.
Money spent on Ronaldo and possibly Trippier may mean United make a more modest investment.

This could end up being Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, who is available.
The Times reports Saul is available for a loan transfer, and United have been in contact.
With Scott McTominay suffering an injury, United’s midfield options, or lack of, have been highlighted.
Saul is a high calibre player who would add leadership and quality to a team suddenly packed with it. On a loan deal there is very little risk to a move, and it is possible he could follow Trippier to Old Trafford as a late reinforcement.
