Manchester United fans need a boost after losing to Crystal Palace on Sunday – and another new signing may well provide that lift.
Ruben Amorim has suffered yet another home defeat as Manchester United boss.
Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace means Amorim has taken just six points from seven home games since arriving at Old Trafford.
This may well be a long-term project for United but Amorim does still need some immediate boosts in terms of adding to his squad.
Teen defender Ayden Heaven has joined United from Arsenal and his Saturday arrival was followed by another deal on Sunday.
United snapped up Patrick Dorgu, confirming the Dane’s arrival from Lecce after weeks of speculation – and another deal could be in the pipeline.

Bayern Munich ace wants to join Manchester United
Marcus Rashford is poised to join Aston Villa and an attacking signing must be a top priority.
United have looked at Leon Bailey but Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel appears to be the main target.
Reports on Sunday suggested that United have growing belief that Tel will sign ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.
Tel has offers from United and Arsenal, leaving him in a predicament given that his football idols are Cristiano Ronaldo and Thierry Henry.
Tel can follow in their footsteps one way or another and he appears to have made his decision.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg claims that Tel has now decided that he wants to join United ‘with immediate effect’.
Tel appears to prefer United over Arsenal but there is one problem – United still don’t have a deal in place with Bayern.
It’s stated that United have submitted a loan bid for Tel but Bayern have completely rejected that offer.
Bayern want a permanent option or obligation as part of the deal, meaning the deal is ‘complicated’ with talks ongoing.
Arsenal are still in the race too but Tel appears to be favouring a move to Old Trafford – if United can thrash out an agreement.
Mathys Tel desperate for an opportunity
Tel joined Bayern from Rennes back in 2022 having shown major potential in his native France.
The 19-year-old has shown quality with Bayern and has been praised as a ‘superb finisher’ by Thomas Muller on the Bundesliga’s official website.
Tel has scored 16 times in 83 games for Bayern but has struggled for first-team chances this season.
A striker who can also operate out wide, Tel has bags of talent but just needs chances to shine.
United could offer that opportunity but much will depend on the level of long-term commitment being offered to Bayern.
