Manchester United take on Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon and have now confirmed the arrival of a new signing.
Ruben Amorim is busy preparing for another Premier League clash as Crystal Palace arrive at Old Trafford.
Manchester United still have transfer business to complete though with the transfer window slamming shut on Monday night.
Ayden Heaven has joined from Arsenal but United have made a much bigger investment in Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu.
United started talks to sign Dorgu nearly two weeks ago and the left wing back has now finalised his move to Old Trafford.
United have confirmed that Dorgu has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract at Old Trafford, with the option of another year.

Patrick Dorgu reacts to Manchester United move
Dorgu arrives as a natural left wing back option and he has already shown major potential in Italy.
The 20-year-old joined Lecce from Nordsjælland in 2022 and has quickly become a Serie A star.
Dorgu has played nearly 60 Serie A games already and is now being viewed as the future of United’s left wing back spot.
An international teammate of Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund, Dorgu has four caps to his name and there should be many more to come.
Dorgu has now reacted to the move, telling United’s official website that he is ‘incredibly proud’ to have joined United.
Dorgu added that this is a ‘very special day’ for his family, admitting that he can’t wait to work alongside Amorim at Old Trafford.
A ‘clear plan’ has been set out for Dorgu’s development at United with the Dane feeling that this is the perfect move for him.
“I am incredibly proud to be able to call myself a Manchester United player; this is a very special day for my whole family,” said Dorgu.
“I cannot wait to work with Ruben Amorim; his vision for this team and the future of the club is incredibly exciting. There is a clear plan set out for my development, and I feel that Manchester United is the perfect place to fulfil my potential and complete my huge ambitions,” he added.
Jason Wilcox on Patrick Dorgu
Reports suggest that United are paying around £24.7million to sign Dorgu with another £6million coming in potential add-ons.
That could be a bargain for United down the line but much will depend on Dorgu’s development in the Premier League.
United technical director Jason Wilcox has offered his verdict too, suggesting that Dorgu is a ‘really exciting’ talent for the future.
Wilcox highlighted that Dorgu is strong both defensively and going forward, believing that he has already enjoyed a ‘superb’ start to his career – and there is more to come.
“Patrick is a really exciting talent; his strong defensive and attacking attributes, adaptability and work-rate will make him a key part of Ruben Amorim’s squad,” said Wilcox.
“Patrick has had a superb start to his career, and at the age of just 20, we know he will continue to develop under the guidance of our excellent coaching team.
“Patrick is the latest exciting young player that we have brought into the club. We believe that each of these talents has world-class potential and the ability to play a key role in achieving the success that everyone at Manchester United is striving for,” he added.
