Manchester United have been showing serious interest in signing Southampton’s Tyler Dibling, much to the frustration of Russell Martin.
Ineos are building a dynasty of wonderkids at Manchester United and 2025 could see the list grow exponentially.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s ambition to buy talented youngsters before they become overpriced has already been acted upon clearly by Jason Wilcox and co.
The summer saw Chido Obi and Sekou Kone arrive to much fanfare at the style of signings these were and the talent possessed by both.
Now, United are looking set to add Diego Leon to the ranks next summer with a deal imminent – but Ineos won’t stop there.

Russell Martin speaks out on Tyler Dibling interest
One of the names United seem keen to sign in 2025 is the Premier League’s breakout phenomenon this season, Southampton’s Tyler Dibling.
United are believed to have scouted Dibling on multiple occasions, while last week saw reports claim Southampton would demand £21m to sell.
Now, on Thursday Saints boss Russell Martin broke his silence over Dibling to United rumours, as quoted by Sky Sports.
“I was told some rumours about Man Utd, one was a bid of £21m. I’m not sure you’ll get his left foot for that”, the manager of the side rock-bottom in the Premier League claimed.

“We have offered him a contract, a really good contract for someone his age. At the minute, I don’t think his agent agrees, so that’s where we’re at.
“I think Tyler wants it done, I think Tyler’s parents want it done, so we’ll see how long that takes. There is an option. We can extend. I don’t think we want to do that – we want to reward Tyler for his performances.
“I’ve spoken to Tyler’s mum and dad about it, I’ve spoken to Tyler, but then I’m not involved in any of the negotiations – that’s down to Phil [Parsons, chief executive] and the gang, the owners and Tyler’s agent – and that’s where it gets tricky.”
Former Southampton director of football and United’s new kingmaker after Dan Ashworth’s exit earlier this week, Wilcox is a huge fan of Dibling. This could suggest United’s chances have just risen.
While Dibling has been described by former United player Dion Dublin as “something really special”. So it is no surprise that Ineos are keen to add him to the ranks.
Dibling won’t be the only wonderkid Manchester United target in 2025
While Dibling is probably the most high-profile youngster being linked with United in 2025, he is not going to be the only one.
United seem very keen to take Chris Rigg off Sunderland’s hands in 2025, as his true breakout year in the Championship continues.

Meanwhile, in Norway, young ‘generational talent’ Sverre Halseth Nypan is gearing up for his 18th birthday, after which it is widely expected that he will be on the agenda for United.
Additionally, United have also been linked with Leece’s Patrick Dorgu – although this could cease to exist now with Leon being signed.
