Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling continues to be linked with Manchester United as Ineos turn their attention to youth signings.
There has been a clear shift in transfer strategy since Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s takeover at Manchester United, with the Red Devils keen to snap up exciting youngsters rather than sign mega stars for big fees.
Of United’s five major signings in the summer, Noussair Mazraoui was the eldest at 26 years old.
Ratcliffe wants United to sign the stars of tomorrow and that plan is already underway after deals were struck for teenage stars Leny Yoro, Chido Obi-Martin and Sekou Kone in the summer.
Despite Dan Ashworth’s shock United exit this week, that strategy will stay in place as club chiefs discuss their 2025 transfer plans.

Man United interest in Southampton wonderkid Tyler Dibling
Tyler Dibling has enjoyed an incredible start to the season at Southampton. The Saints sit bottom of the Premier League table but the 18-year-old has been their standout player.
United have been linked to Dibling with Ashworth ironically cited as a key driving force behind the interest.
Ashworth wanted to sign Dibling at Newcastle and mentioned him as a target at Old Trafford. Dibling was superb against United earlier this season up against Diogo Dalot.
United have been scouting Dibling regularly this season after his bright start to the campaign. Southampton are eager to hold onto the youngster but could be forced to sell next summer amid the threat of relegation.
Dibling has caught the eye of former United player Dion Dublin, who hailed him as “terrific” and claimed “he’s going to be something really special” on Match of the Day.
Southampton name Tyler Dibling asking price
United are expected to have a limited budget over January due to Profit and Sustainability Rules but they have now learned what it will cost to bring Dibling to Old Trafford.
According to Caught Offside, Southampton have set an asking price of at least €25m (£21m) for Dibling in 2025.
The report adds that there is interest in the young winger from Premier League rivals Chelsea, Newcastle, Tottenham, Aston Villa and West Ham.
It is yet to be seen whether United will continue their pursuit of Dibling now that Ashworth has departed.
