Barcelona-bound Marcus Rashford and RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko have both popped up on the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Manchester United.

Marcus Rashford’s time at Manchester United this summer could be coming to an end after Barcelona finally made a move for the 27-year-old England international.

The former Aston Villa star returned to the Red Devils in July from Villa Park after the Barcelona target’s loan deal with the Premier League club expired on 30th June.

Rashford had been training alone at the Carrington complex after he was frozen out of the United first-team squad under Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim.

Barcelona have been heavily linked with Rashford in recent months and the La Liga club are now set to offer the Three Lions forward a lifeline move away from United.

Here is everything that United fans need to know about the soon-to-be Barcelona player Rashford and RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko amid the transfer news and rumours.

The different Marcus Rashford transfer price tags ahead of the Man Utd player’s move to Barcelona this summer

Barcelona will sign Marcus Rashford on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United, but the Red Devils have included an option to buy in the agreement.

However, the exact amount that the La Liga club will pay has differed from source to source, with one suggestion that it could be a £26m (€30m) fee for Rashford.

BBC Sport reporter Simon Stone has now revealed on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, a different price tag for the England international.

He has reported that Barcelona could pay United £30.3m (€35m) to sign Rashford on a permanent deal if the former Aston Villa star impresses at the Camp Nou.

Rashford has reportedly taken a 15 per cent salary cut to make the move to Barcelona and the Spanish outfit are covering the majority of his United wages.

Man Utd are now showing growing interest in RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko after Arsenal’s transfer interest

United and Arsenal have been linked with signing Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP this summer, but the Gunners are expected to land the 27-year-old Swedish striker.

Benjamin Sesko had been subject to transfer interest from Arsenal, but the signing of Viktor Gyokeres is tipped to end the Gunners’ pursuit of the attacking forward.

According to Sky Germany (via ESPN), United are now linked with the 22-year-old Slovenian attacker and could pursue the Arsenal target this summer.

However, RB Leipzig are expected to play hardball over their prized asset and could demand United pay the £67.2m (€80m) release clause in Sesko’s contract.

ESPN reporter Mark Ogden said that the Slovenia striker could be seen as a risky transfer for cash-strapped United due to him not being tested in the Premier League.

When Man Utd and England star Marcus Rashford is expected to be revealed as a Barcelona player

Rashford was left out of the Red Devils squad that embarked on the pre-season tour last week, with United and Leeds United playing a 0-0 draw in Sweden on Saturday.

The England forward received permission from United to fly out to Spain on the weekend and Rashford arrived in Catalonia on Sunday ahead of his Barcelona move.

According to Mundo Deportivo on Monday, an announcement over Rashford’s loan deal to Barcelona is ‘expected’ to be made ‘official’ in the ‘coming hours.’

The Spanish newspaper added that Rashford will be unveiled as a Barcelona player at a ceremony at the Camp Nou on Wednesday alongside club president Joan Laporta.

It is believed that Rashford, who is completing his medical in Spain today, will then take questions from the Spanish media for the first time on the day of his unveiling.
