Manchester United have their eyes on a Leicester City star who is currently a key member of Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side.
After his superb stint as interim manager at Manchester United, Ruud van Nistelrooy landed the Leicester City job in November, just days after Ruben Amorim took the hot seat at Old Trafford.
Since then, Van Nistelrooy has contacted United over loans as he looks to strengthen his Leicester side for their relegation dog-fight.
Ideally, Van Nistelrooy wants Toby Collyer to move to the King Power Stadium this month and Collyer is open to a loan exit. The only issue is that it could leave Amorim short of options in midfield.
While Ruud van Nistelrooy has his sights set on United stars, it seems the Red Devils are ready to return the favour with one Leicester star catching the eye of club scouts.

Man United interest in Mads Hermansen
While United appear to have a limited budget this month, one area Amorim is looking to improve is his goalkeeping department.
According to The Telegraph, Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen has emerged as a star likely to be sold in 2025 regardless of whether the Foxes are relegated.
In order to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules, Leicester have adopted a model where one key player is sold every summer. It seems Hermansen is next up.
The report adds that rival clubs have been made aware of Hermansen’s availability and United are in the mix after chief goalkeeping scout, Tony Coton, spent time watching the Danish shot-stopper.
Hermansen has been a standout player in a struggling Leicester side. The 24-year-old ranks third in the Premier League for saves completed with 65. That is despite missing Leicester’s last four league games with a groin injury.
Ruben Amorim wants to sign two goalkeepers
Despite Amorim expecting a quiet January, he has also urged United to drastically improve their goalkeeping options.
Andre Onana has impressed this season but is still error-prone as proven by Matheus Cunha scoring directly from a corner.
Bizarrely, the same type of goal was conceded by Altay Bayindir against Tottenham. Bayindir is expected to leave United in 2025, although it is not clear whether he will depart this month or in the summer.
Amorim wants to sign two goalkeepers to provide competition for Onana, and Hermansen certainly seems to be on United’s radar.
United have also targeted John Victor as a potential goalkeeper target, with the Brazilian set to cost around £20m.
