Rasmus Hojlund secured the three points for Manchester United on Saturday, a first win in five.
Old Trafford gave a sigh of relief when Samuel Barrott blew the final whistle, confirming that Manchester United would finally win another game and move up to 11th in the Premier League.
It was a 2-1 win for United over Brentford, with the win being massive for Erik ten Hag’s chances of making a success at the club.
Alejandro Garnacho cancelled out Brentford’s opener in the second half, with a delightful assist from Marcus Rashford leading to both getting praise from Ten Hag.
But then the winner came as Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Hojlund combined for a goal to claim the win.
After the game, Hojlund has been on Instagram to send a message, with one former United teammate responding to him.

Rasmus Hojlund sends a message after Manchester United win
In the win over Brentford, Hojlund grabbed his second of the campaign – after scoring against Porto in the Europa League.
Hojlund looks to be even better this season and with two in three starts he might have answered the questions around who United’s first-choice striker should be.
Ever the jokester, Hojlund took to Instagram after the win, referencing his controversial post-Porto caption.
He wrote: “Should’ve kept that celebration caption for today”.
This of course because of his caption after scoring vs Porto rubbing fans the wrong way due to how United threw away a 2-0 lead.
In the responses, there were several responses, but it was Anthony Martial’s which we found most interesting.
Former United no.9 Martial commented a seal of his approval for the Dane: “RH9”.
Also in the responses was injured United defender Harry Maguire, who wrote: “Bring back the guitar”.
This refers to Hojlund’s terrible air guitar celebration from last season.
Ethan Wheatley commented too, but simply just wrote: “Top”, with a laughing emoji which makes us think there is an inside joke there.
Hojlund benefitting from Ruud van Nistelrooy tutelage
This season in just three games, already it’s clear Hojlund has developed since last season, with his hold-up play and link-up play much improved
He is becoming a real quality number nine and still possesses his lightning-quick speed, strength and surprising clinical nature in front of goal.
Hojlund will be benefitting from Ruud van Nistelrooy being his coach, and he has admitted this to be the case.
Joshua Zirkzee is firmly established as the second-string striker now, with Hojlund proving he is that guy as he looks to be improving in every way – Hojlund is proving his former coach spot on.
Next up, Hojlund and United have a visit from Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce.
