Raphael Varane quit Real Madrid to join Manchester United as he wanted a new challenge.
The competitive nature of the Premier League shows he is getting one.
Varane has featured in three league games as a Manchester United so far, ending up on the winning team each time.

The victory at West Ham was the closest call yet. United needed an injury time penalty save from David de Gea to secure all three points.
Varane’s message after the game showed how much he is loving life as a Manchester United player, praising the Premier League.
Varane a colossus in defence
Once again it took a deflected goal to breach Manchester United’s defence.
Varane has helped to make United rock solid and he has cured the set piece problems which plagued United last season.
Part of that credit should go to United’s set piece coach Eric Ramsay, but Varane is the one on the pitch making the difference.
Varane won two aerial battles and was effective in possession, helping to carry the ball forward and take the game into West Ham’s half.
The Frenchman had a total of 101 touches, completing 94.5 per cent of his passes.
He will get a rest in midweek for the Carabao Cup. We just have to hope United do not miss him too much. It will be up to Eric Bailly to step up and stake his claim.
