Man Utd fans’ telling reaction on Jadon Sancho’s potential Borussia Dortmund loan deal says it all

Manchester United fans have made their stance on Jadon Sancho crystal clear ahead of his potential exit from Old Trafford in the January transfer window.

Sancho, who hasn’t played first-team football since August 2023, was excluded from the United team after his bombshell statement on social media last September.

The United outcast hit back at Erik ten Hag after the Red Devils boss revealed the main reason why Sancho was left out of his squad for the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal.

Sancho reportedly refused to apologise to the Dutchman and was subsequently frozen out of the United first team, with his club future plunged into doubt.

The 23-year-old United winger had attracted interest from European clubs in recent months, including Juventus and Sancho’s former side Borussia Dortmund.

Juventus pulled out of the race to sign Sancho, with Dortmund remaining keen to bring the former England international back to Germany as part of a loan spell.

Sancho inching closer to Dortmund return

Sancho commands a hefty £350,000-a-week deal at United and the Red Devils have been keen to offload his wages amid his exclusion from Ten Hag’s squad.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the ex-Three Lions star could leave Old Trafford this week and link up with Dortmund as part of a loan deal.

Sancho ‘could arrive in Spain’ by Friday and be part of Dortmund’s Marbella training camp, with the United player spending the remainder of the season at the club.

The newspaper added that sources in Germany have suggested that Dortmund’s loan for the United winger would only cost them £2.6m.

And the Bundesliga outfit’s deal with United would also include any loan fee agreed between both parties and contributions towards Sancho’s salary at the Red Devils.

United fans’ reaction to possible Sancho exit

United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, welcomed the news of Sancho’s potential exit and an end to the turbulent saga this season.

One supporter claimed they were personally ready to “drive him to the airport,” while another slammed Sancho for being a “waste of time, space and money.”

“Sancho back to Dortmund, which is awesome for us,” one fan wrote.

While a second tweeted: “Man Utd’s nightmare in the form of Jadon Sancho is over.”

Someone else commented: “Jadon Sancho back to Dortmund, it seems. What a joke of a transfer this was. Both parties handled this awfully.”

“I’m available to drive him to the airport,” a fourth added.

Another said: “Hopefully, the club does a better job with scouting in future. Hoping we sell him permanently in the summer.”

A sixth posted: “Good riddance, Jadon Sancho! Another waste of time, space and money. More to follow him out the door, hopefully.”

And a seventh wrote: “Sancho would rather sit in the cold than apologise through gritted teeth so he could play again. This isn’t about principle, it’s about petulance. Good riddance.”
