Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was quizzed heavily in the press conference over transfers.
United have signed only one player this summer, Donny van de Beek.
Solskjaer talked up his players, and stopped short of blaming the board for a failure to get deals done.
However, as former teammate Gary Neville noted, there were four words uttered by Solskjaer in which he made his true feelings show.
‘They know my view’, is a reference to conversations with the board.
Amid all his waffle about faith in the club’s players, these four words were when Solskjaer hinted at his true feelings.
Solskjaer has told chief executive Ed Woodward the players he wanted, and the positions the club need to strengthen.
So far just one player has been recruited, and Solskjaer is trying to make the best out of it.
While it would be nice to see him come out and publicly lambast his own bosses and the club’s disinterested owners the Glazers, that will only accelerate his departure.

Neville earlier this week came out and criticised United’s transfer business as ‘appalling’.
The transfer window closes on Monday. United can still sign players from Championship clubs, as a back-up, until the 16th, and free agents.
Even with these back-up options, time is fast running out for United to get their act together.
