Manchester United saw Eric Ramsay leave the club in 2024 but he could make a big return to England this summer.
We have seen so many coaching changes at Manchester United in recent times.
Erik ten Hag’s United exit in October grabbed the headlines, with Ruben Amorim quickly replacing him.
Carlos Fernandes and Adelio Candido followed Amorim to United as Ruud van Nistelrooy and Rene Hake departed Old Trafford.
Benni McCarthy left United last summer whilst Ten Hag’s former assistant Mitchell van der Gaag moved on.
2024 brought so many coaches coming and going at Old Trafford, including Eric Ramsay.

Former Manchester United coach Eric Ramsay interviews for Southampton job
Ramsay quit United for Minnesota United, taking over the MLS side in his first managerial job.
The Welshman has now taken charge of 45 games with Minnesota United, winning 18, drawing 12 and losing 15.
Ramsay is still only 33, so is really cutting his managerial teeth over in the United States.
A 40% win rate at this stage in his development as a manager is pretty impressive, though, and it’s clear to see why United rated him.
TalkSPORT now claim that Ramsay has interviewed to become the new Southampton manager following their relegation from the Premier League.
Ivan Juric left Southampton earlier this month as the Saints went straight back down to the Championship.
Ramsay is now on Southampton’s radar as a potential replacement, though it’s suggested that he is unlikely to land the job as things stand.
Lens boss Will Still is a prime target for Southampton, but Ramsay is one to keep an eye on having already held talks with the Saints.
Ramsay could face Manchester United raids at Southampton
This interest just goes to highlight how highly-regarded Ramsay is at such a young age in coaching terms.
Southampton may have other targets ahead of him, but this interest means Ramsay could actually lose players to United if he does end up landing the job.
United are keen on Tyler Dibling, with the Southampton teenager really catching the eye this season.
The Saints are demanding huge money for Dibling, but United remain keen on the winger with a view to a move this summer.
Reports even claim that United are interested in signing Aaron Ramsdale, with the Southampton goalkeeper viewed as competition between the sticks.
Any potential Southampton manager would hope to keep those two players for next season in the Championship, and Ramsay would be left hoping that his former club stay away, should he land the job this summer.
