Where Marcus Rashford was spotted after Man United loan star missed FA Cup clash through injury

Marcus Rashford was forced to sit out of Aston Villa’s FA Cup semi-final defeat due to a hamstring injury.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery confirmed on Saturday that Marcus Rashford has suffered a hamstring injury which will likely rule him out for “weeks”.

“We are going to try to test him each match but he’s injured and probably some weeks he won’t be available,” Emery said, as quoted by The Mirror.

Ruben Amorim confirmed Rashford is set to return to Manchester United at the end of the season before Ineos decide on his future. However, Fabrizio Romano claims Rashford has played his final game for United and is not part of the plans for next season.

Villa are in “pole position” to sign Rashford, but in the space of a week they have suffered a blow to their top-five chances and have crashed out of the FA Cup. Whether they will want to splash £40m on Rashford at the end of the season is very much up in the air.

Marcus Rashford spotted at Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn fight

Despite being ruled out of Saturday’s FA Cup tie, Rashford still made the journey down to London to watch his teammates lose 3-0 to Crystal Palace at Wembley.

Later in the evening, it seems he joined up with England teammate Declan Rice to attend the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Rashford was spotted ringside alongside Rice and a host of other celebrities as Eubank Jr scored a unanimous decision against Benn in London.

The 27-year-old will now return to Birmingham where he will face a race to return to fitness for Villa’s final four games of the season.

Marcus Rashford will return to Old Trafford next month

Villa have four games remaining in the Premier League to try and salvage a top-five finish and qualify for the Champions League.

Whether they qualify will dictate whether Villa pay £40m for Rashford to sign him permanently this summer.

It could come down to the wire, and remarkably Villa’s final game of the season is against… Manchester United.

Rashford is ineligible to face United as his parent club, and it seems he might not return to fitness in time for next month’s clash anyway.

United host Villa on May 25th, and Ruben Amorim’s side could decide whether or not they finish inside the top five and sign Rashford.
