Facundo Pellistri sends message as he trains with Alaves

Manchester United youngster Facundo Pellistri has begun training with Alaves as he kicks off his loan spell.

Pellistri’s loan move back to the Spanish side was sealed last week after an impressive pre-season for United.

The young Uruguayan spent the second half of last season on loan with the La Liga side.

Pellistri’s message read: “A new phase begins. Very happy to be part of the institution again.”

The youngster held his first training session with Alaves on Monday morning, with pictures released today.

Pellistri, 19, scored one goal and provided one assist for Manchester United in pre-season, giving fans a glimpse of his potential.

He also played his first match at Old Trafford, a milestone moment for him.

The pre-season will have given him a little taster for what is possible, and provided him with plenty of motivation for the year on loan ahead.

Pellistri is hoping this week to earn a spot in Alaves’ starting XI for their La Liga opener against Real Madrid on Saturday night.

Games against Mallorca, Valencia, and then Villarreal follow, with Barcelona at the end of October.
