Manchester United had an active transfer deadline day, with a number of incoming and outgoing deals confirmed.
Here is a run through of every single deal Manchester United announced on transfer deadline day summer 2024…
Incomings
In order of completion…
Sekou Kone to Manchester United: £1 million
Manchester United announced the signing of Mali youth international midfielder Sekou Kone.
United saw off heavy competition to clinch the signature of the highly rated midfielder, who joins from African side Guidars FC.
Kone impressed at the under-17s World Cup where he helped his side beat Argentina in the third-place play-off.
Kone will initially go into United’s under-21 team, with a view to stepping up to the first team when he settles.

Manuel Ugarte to Manchester United – £42 million
Manchester United’s long awaited deal to sign Manuel Ugarte was completed with 90 minutes to spare of the transfer deadline.
The Uruguay international fills a key gap in United’s midfield, and should become a real fan favourite with his combative style.
Ugarte should be worth the wait. This is a permanent deal with the midfielder penning a long-term contract.
Outgoings
In order of completion…
Elyh Harrison to Chester – Loan
Another one of Manchester United’s highly rated young goalkeepers, Elyh Harrison has moved on loan to Chester.
Harrison impressed in pre-season for the under-21s against Chester, and it is no surprise they have moved to sign him.
Last season Harrison won Manchester United’s Denzil Haroun Award for best reserve team player.
Sonny Aljofree to Accrington Stanley – Loan
Manchester United under-21 defender Sonny Aljofree has clinched a move to League Two side Accrington Stanley.
Aljofree signed a contract extension earlier in August and a loan move was expected for the 19-year-old centre-back.
He played once during pre-season, and this will be his first loan at Football League level.

Scott McTominay to Napoli – £25.7 million
Manchester United first team regular Scott McTominay has completed his move away from the club after more than 250 appearances.
McTominay becomes the fifth player to feature for United and Napoli, with his deal the most expensive up front fee ever received for an academy graduate.
The Scotland international is United’s fourth most expensive exit ever – and the club have also negotiated a 10 per cent sell on clause into the deal.
James Nolan to Inverness Caledonian Thistle – Loan
In-form Manchester United academy defender James Nolan has signed for Scottish Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Nolan helped the under-18s win three trophies last season and this will be his first loan spell of his career.
The 18-year-old had provided three assists in his opening under-21s games this season from right-back, and he will benefit from another step up.
Jadon Sancho to Chelsea – Loan with obligation at £23 million
Jadon Sancho’s move to Chelsea reflects his woeful career path at Manchester United.
Bought for £73 million, United figured out early in the window there would be no buyers, and tried to re-integrate Jadon Sancho into the team.
Eventually United decided to cut their losses and get him off the books. This one took until 1am to conclude, a loan deal where Chelsea have an obligation to buy next summer.
