Manchester United academy starlet Sonny Aljofree has completed his move to Accrington Stanley on loan.
The 19-year-old defender will be heading to the Wham Stadium, in a second spell away from Carrington, following a loan move down the road to Altrincham last season.
Aljofree will follow in the footsteps of Radek Vitek, who spent last season on loan at Accrington – with the Czechoslovakian shot-stopper thriving at the League Two side.

Accrington confirmed the youngster’s arrival on Friday evening, via their official Instagram account.
They wrote: ‘Accrington have today completed the signing of defender @sonnyaljofree from @manchesterunited on a season-long loan. Welcome to the Reds, Sonny!’
Sonny has been a regular for the Manchester United academy through multiple age groups – and also captained the Under-21s in their opening Premier League 2 fixtures, versus Arsenal and Stoke.
They’ll have to do without him this season, as he tries his hat against the big boys in England’s fourth division.

The decision to loan Aljofree out is definitely the correct one. The young lad is not even on the fringe of breaking into the Manchester United first-team squad – so simply must seek out minutes elsewhere.
Aljofree spoke to journalists after securing the move, he said: “I have been at MUFC for the best part of my life, 13 years, that’s all I have known, and it’s a good time for me now to step out of my comfort zone, and try and get some appearances in the league.”
He becomes the sixth loan departure this summer window, with Joe Hugill, Rhys Bennett, Tom Wooster, Elyh Harrison and Vitek also all on the move. Best of luck, Sonny!
