Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes had kind words to say about teammate Paul Pogba’s performance.
Fernandes lauded Pogba as France’s MVP (most valuable player) after their 1-0 win over Germany.
He joked he was happy for Pogba but ‘only for today’, with a message sent out on Instagram.
Fernandes’ Portugal are in the same group as France and face off later in the round.

Pogba was voted as France’s man of the match after the 1-0 victory.
The United star helped to create the only goal when his crossfield pass played in Theo Hernandez, whose cross was turned in for an own goal.
France were the better team and the 1-0 score flattered Germany, who offered little threat.
Collision course

The next game for France is against Hungary, who gave Fernandes’ Portugal a little scare earlier.
Fernandes played well, creating three chances as Portugal won 3-0 with a late flurry of goals, but only after Hungary had seen an offside goal ruled out.
The United star’s performance was lauded by supporters, while Paul Scholes praised Cristiano Ronaldo.
Portugal play Germany next and France face Hungary. Both teams are in a strong position after winning their opening games.
Pogba’s France will face Fernandes’ Portugal in the final group game.
But the way it is going, both sides may have already qualified, leaving a little less riding on the match, although there will be some spice as it will be a repeat of the Euro 2016 final – which Pogba says he still has not been able to get over.
Lingard loved it too
Pogba’s pal and still current United teammate Jesse Lingard also lauded his performance.
Showing up in this big game against Germany was one which will enhance Pogba’s reputation further.
